Carnauba Wax X 55 Granules
X 55 is a wax additive based on organic carnauba wax that is authorised as a food additive for direct contact with food. The carnauba wax mixture increases abrasion resistance and the slip properties of surfaces and ensures a high gloss. It also improves weather resistance in the respective applications, e.g. to water or UV radiation. The wax is light yellow in colour, has a dropping point of 81 - 90 °C and a solidification point of 80 - 86 °C.
Applications
Carnauba wax X 55 is mainly used in can and metal coil coatings as well as in food colours and printing inks with direct food contact. Carnauba wax X 55 can also be used for certain paints and varnishes with direct food contact, such as varnishes. The bio-based wax additive is also used in the area of food packaging. Due to its excellent polishability, the wax can be used in polishes (e.g. car polishes, floor polishes and furniture polishes). The wax additive can also be used for the production of wax emulsions.
