Paraffin Wax Pastilles 52 - 54 °C
We offer high-quality paraffin wax with a solidification point of approx. 53 °C (52 - 54 °C). It is a high-purity paraffin wax that is produced in Germany using the latest methods. As a so-called full raffinate, this paraffin wax has a low oil content (usually 0.7%). It meets purity criteria according to BfR recommendation XXV BII as well as FDA 172.886 and also Ph.Eur according to the valid version. This paraffin is one of the lowest melting paraffins that we can still offer in pastille form. Especially in the summer months, products with a lower melting point tend to block. For this reason, we also offer, for example, even lower-melting paraffin in tablets or blocks. Paraffin wax is refined and - in contrast to stearin, which is often used in candles - is not produced from palm oil.
Application
This paraffin wax with a low melting point is suitable for candles in glasses, but also for cosmetic purposes such as hand and foot baths. It can also be used as a basic component in applications such as cosmetic creams. It is suitable for lowering the melting point in wax mixtures with other waxes, as it becomes liquid at quite low temperatures. We supply the wax offered here in pastille form. In this form the wax can be dosed very well. Especially waxes in granulate or powder have the characteristic to spill easily at smaller dosages and to dirty the floor or the equipment. With a pastille form with a low proportion of fine particles, this risk is significantly lower.
The ever-increasing importance of paraffins and waxes in the overall H&R Group product portfolio led to the founding of the H&R Wax Company GmbH in May 2000. Today H&R Wax & Specialties oversees all sales and service activities.
The site producing more than 80 different paraffin qualities is the oldest (1860) productive and, at the same time, state of the art plant, H&R ChemPharm, Salzbergen. Consistently high quality standards and a variety of specialities substantiate the outstanding reputation of the refinery.
The quality of the H&R paraffins is based on a special production method: the slack waxes that occur during the de-paraffinisation of the basic oils are processed into high-quality paraffins through further de-oiling and environmentally friendly high-pressure hydration. These full raffinates correspond to the strict purity requirements of Ph.Eur., FDA and the German health authority (BGA). The portfolio is expanded with our technical qualities from our H&R Ölwerke Schindler, Hamburg refinery.
The various paraffin qualities are implemented in many sectors of the industry: candle industry, chipboard industry, chemical industry, ceresin industry, packaging industry, textiles industry, medicine and pharmacy and many others.
