Paraffin wax slabs 62 - 64 W8308
We offer here very high-quality paraffin wax with a very high solidification point of approx. 64 °C for a paraffin. It is a high-purity paraffin wax, which is produced in Germany according to the latest methods. As a so-called full raffinate, this paraffin wax has a low oil content (usually at 0.4%). It meets high purity requirements and can therefore be used for a wide range of applications.
This paraffin wax is one of the highest melting paraffins that we can offer in sheet form (or also called slabs). Its high melting point makes it a good option in applications where higher temperatures are reached. Paraffin wax is refined and undergoes various purification steps. The result is a white to slightly translucent, almost odourless product of good hardness and low oil content.
Application
This paraffin wax with a high melting point is suitable as an additive for candle applications where the standard paraffin wax does not have sufficient hardness, but also for cosmetic applications for hard and waterproof products. It can also be used in applications such as coatings, hot melts, certain hot-melt inks such as thermal transfer inks. It is suitable for increasing the melting point in wax mixtures with other waxes, as it becomes liquid at quite high temperatures.
The ever-increasing importance of paraffins and waxes in the overall H&R Group product portfolio led to the founding of the H&R Wax Company GmbH in May 2000. Today H&R Wax & Specialties oversees all sales and service activities.
The site producing more than 80 different paraffin qualities is the oldest (1860) productive and, at the same time, state of the art plant, H&R ChemPharm, Salzbergen. Consistently high quality standards and a variety of specialities substantiate the outstanding reputation of the refinery.
The quality of the H&R paraffins is based on a special production method: the slack waxes that occur during the de-paraffinisation of the basic oils are processed into high-quality paraffins through further de-oiling and environmentally friendly high-pressure hydration. These full raffinates correspond to the strict purity requirements of Ph.Eur., FDA and the German health authority (BGA). The portfolio is expanded with our technical qualities from our H&R Ölwerke Schindler, Hamburg refinery.
The various paraffin qualities are implemented in many sectors of the industry: candle industry, chipboard industry, chemical industry, ceresin industry, packaging industry, textiles industry, medicine and pharmacy and many others.
