Glycerine 86.5% Vegetable (Non-Food)
We offer vegetable glycerine with a purity of 86.5%. Glycerine is obtained from oils and fats and is produced, among other processes, during biodiesel manufacturing. It is a clear, almost transparent liquid which, depending on the temperature, ranges from honey-like viscous to thin and free-flowing. The product is sourced from GMO-free materials.
Uses
Glycerine is hygroscopic (water-binding), a property which makes it an ideal humectant. In watercolour paints, it helps prevent drying out. Glycerine is also an excellent plasticiser and is added to starch-based films to prevent them from becoming brittle. In addition, it is used as an antifreeze agent and lubricant, as well as a reactant in the manufacture of dyes, plastics and microchips.
We also supply glycerine in 99.5% purity.

This glycerine is suitable exclusively for technical applications. Glycerine is heavier than water; 1 litre weighs approximately 1.25 kg.
