Baking Soda Powder for Cleaning and Washing
Pure sodium hydrogen carbonate as a versatile household all-rounder. Our baking soda powder for cleaning and washing is a high-quality, pure sodium bicarbonate, filled in Germany. It is suitable for cleaning in the kitchen, bathroom and living areas, for neutralising odours, as an additive when washing laundry, and for selected applications in the garden and car care.
Highly Versatile
Baking soda is a popular household remedy for many everyday cleaning tasks. It can dissolve light soiling, neutralise odours and help care for textiles and surfaces.
- Kitchen and sink: Sprinkle baking soda onto damp surfaces, scrub with a sponge and rinse thoroughly.
- Oven and baking trays: Mix baking soda with water in a 1:1 ratio to form a paste, apply it to burnt-on areas, leave it to work and then wipe away.
- Carpets and upholstery: Sprinkle generously, leave to work for several hours or overnight, then vacuum thoroughly.
- Tile grout and limescale: Mix with a little water to form a paste, apply with a toothbrush, leave briefly to work and scrub off.
- Laundry: Add 2–4 tablespoons to the washing machine together with the detergent to neutralise sweat odours and acids.
Cleaning Drains
For drain maintenance, add approximately 2–3 tablespoons of baking soda to the drain and then pour in half a cup of vinegar. After the fizzing reaction, leave it to work for a few minutes and rinse thoroughly with plenty of warm water.
Garden
Baking soda can also be used in gardening to regulate the pH value of the soil and deter pests. As baking soda is alkaline, it should always be used sparingly, particularly with acid-loving plants.
Car
In car care, baking soda is suitable for removing stains from car seats and car carpets, as well as for eliminating unpleasant odours in the vehicle interior.
Household Appliances
Household appliances such as washing machines and dishwashers can be freed from limescale deposits and odours using baking soda.

Notes
Before use, test material compatibility on an inconspicuous area. Baking soda can damage sensitive surfaces such as glass, sealed wood or polished surfaces. For textiles, test colour fastness first. Wool, silk, leather and coated textiles are unsuitable. We also offer food-grade Sodium Bicarbonate, which is used, for example, as a raising agent or to regulate the pH value in drinks, as well as an ingredient in cosmetics such as deodorants, bath additives and exfoliating products.
