Tealight wick, round wick BWR 4
This wick was specially developed for making tea lights from beeswax. It is a yellow waxed round wick made of cotton with a metal base and a length of 3.5 cm. When used together with other beeswax with a high pollen content, problems with burning may occur.
The wicks are not treated with borax and are tested according to RAL standards.
For tea lights made of other waxes or paraffin mixtures, we also offer the tea light flat wicks 2T51 and the TLP as an alternative. These have a weaker curvature and are particularly suitable for tea lights made from lower melting waxes.
For larger or taller beeswax candles, we offer the candle wick BWR series in 10cm length.
The BWR candle wick is the answer to the consistency of vegetable waxes, which makes it particularly difficult to find suitable wicks. We also offer this wick as unwaxed wick material on 100 m spools. The round wick BWR combines all properties for a good and even burning behaviour and also works with a wide variety of raw material mixtures. The wick has a good wick stand and forms little to no snuff. The wicks are manufactured in Germany and are vegan.
Usage:
Place the candle wick in the mould and then pour the wax into the mould. Adhesive wax slabs can be used to prevent the wick from slipping during manufacture.
These wicks are not so suitable for Maxi tealights, as the burning plate has the dimensions of a standard tealight (approx. 3.8 cm).

Hints:
Round wicks cannot be used to dip candles. There are many factors that influence the burning behaviour of a candle. The main ones are the type of wax, the melting point, the thickness of the candle and the addition of colour and fragrances. Test your candle project with our wicks before ordering a large number of wicks.
