We offer vegetable glycerine in 86,5% purity. The quality corresponds to the requirements of Ph. Eur. and is approved as a food additive (E 422). Glycerine is obtained from oils and fats. it is produced, among other things in the production of organic diesel. It is a clear, almost transparent liquid that is honey-like viscous to thin depending on the temperature. Glycerin is an additive and is used to improve texture, taste and preservation. This product originates from non-GMO sources.

Application

Glycerine is hygroscopic, this property makes it an ideal humectant. Glycerin is an important component in cosmetics, it is used in ointments and moisturizing creams. As a food additive, glycerin can be used to protect food from drying out and to sweeten the taste. In watercolor paints it prevents drying out. Glycerin is an excellent plasticizer that is added to starch-based films to keep them from becoming brittle. Additionally it serves as an antifreeze and lubricant and as a reactant in the manufacture of dyes, plastics and microchips.
