Paraffin wax slabs 45 - 47 °C
We offer high-quality paraffin wax with a solidification point of approx. 46 °C (45 - 47 °C). It is a high-purity paraffin wax that is produced in Germany using the latest methods. As a so-called fully refined, this paraffin wax has a low oil content (usually 0.7%). It meets purity criteria according to BfR recommendation XXV BII and FDA 172.886. Paraffin wax is refined and - in contrast to stearin, which is often used in candles - is not produced from palm oil. We supply the wax offered here in slab form. In this form the wax can be stored better. Especially waxes in granulate or powder have the characteristic to spill easily at smaller dosages and to dirty the floor or the equipment. In addition, pastillation of the product at such a low solidification point is very time-consuming and blocking of the pastilles/granules is almost unavoidable.
Application
This wax is often used in cosmetic formulations where a low melting point is important. It is also used, for example, in the production of fango paraffins. Its low solidification point also makes it a very good wax for cosmetic hand and foot baths because it is liquid even at temperatures that are good for this application. Of course, it is important to ensure good temperature control in this application in order to avoid burns. A further application purpose are melting candles or melting pots. Refractory waxes are often too hard in these applications or an edge remains on the outside of the melting pot during combustion. With this lower melting wax a full-surface combustion is given.
