Carnauba Wax T3 Powder

Carnauba Wax T3 Light Fat Grey Powder is a high-quality, plant-based wax derived from the leaves of the Carnauba palm (Copernicia prunifera), native to Brazil. This refined wax grade is offered specifically for cosmetic and industrial applications. The sustainable harvesting is carried out carefully: only selected leaves are harvested without damaging the palm, ensuring the resource is preserved for the long term. The powder form allows for precise dosing and processing.

Carnauba Wax T3 gives lipsticks, hair waxes and creams a stable, pleasant and non-sticky texture. It forms a protective film on skin, hair and nails, which locks in moisture and protects the products against external influences. This results in smooth, supple skin and a glossy finish.

What effect does Carnauba wax have on the skin?

Carnauba wax has a protective and nourishing effect on the skin in cosmetics. It forms a protective film that locks in moisture and protects the skin from external influences. It also gives products a pleasant texture and a shiny finish.

Technical applications

Thanks to its high melting point of around 82–86 °C, carnauba wax remains stable and retains its shape even in heat-stressed formulations. It reliably protects surfaces from water, dirt and weathering. This makes carnauba wax a preferred raw material for car polish, shoe polish, furniture care products, varnishes and polishes. Its hardness and resistance make it ideal for durable protective films.

What are the advantages of carnauba wax in powder form?

Carnauba wax is usually harvested and traded in flake form. Grinding these flakes produces the fine powder, which offers several practical benefits:

  • Easier dosing: The fine powder can be measured and dosed more precisely.
  • More even distribution: Powder disperses better and more evenly, especially in fine or sensitive formulations.
  • Faster dissolving: When heated, the powder melts more quickly than solid flakes.
