Lanolin
Lanolin is a skin-friendly natural product obtained from the wool of sheep. It is also called wool wax or wool fat. The product comes from the EU and is tested for pesticides according to Ph. Eur. and BP specifications. This high quality is particularly light in colour and the odour typical of lanolin is barely perceptible. The product has a high water absorption capacity, the dripping point is at approx. 39 °C. It is stabilised with less than 200 ppm of Vitamin E as antioxidant.
Applikationen
Lanolin is a natural alternative to Vaseline and has very good skin care properties. It accelerates wound healing and helps against dry skin. For treatment, it can be applied directly to the skin. Lanolin is also an excellent base for making wound-healing ointments and creams. Active ingredients can be easily incorporated into lanolin. In industry, lanolin is used as a corrosion protection for surfaces. For example, it is used to protect leather, textiles and metal.
