Malic Acid Technical (DL-Malic Acid, formerly Food Grade)
Technical malic acid (Malic Acid) is a versatile acid with excellent cleaning properties. This batch originally came from food-grade production but has passed its best-before date and therefore must not be used for food, cosmetic or pharmaceutical purposes. It is strictly intended for technical and industrial applications only.
Properties and Applications
- Effective cleaner: Reliably removes rust, dirt and mineral deposits.
- Descaling: Dissolves limescale deposits in coffee machines, kettles, dishwashers and industrial equipment by gently breaking down the calcium compounds.
- Chelating agent: Binds metal ions and minerals, helping to loosen dirt and prevent new limescale formation.
- Surface cleaning: Ideal for cleaning metallic and mineral surfaces, such as machinery, tools or fittings.
- Environmentally friendly: Malic acid is biodegradable and considered an eco-friendly alternative to aggressive synthetic descalers.
Notes
Malic acid should be stored tightly sealed and kept dry. For technical use only. We also supply food-grade and cosmetic-grade malic acid, which can be identified by the E number E296.
