Refined Shea Butter
Shea butter is a versatile natural product known for its rich and moisturising properties. Extracted from the nuts of the African shea tree, this shea butter is processed and refined to ensure a buttery-soft texture and maximum purity. The result is a compatible, high-quality raw material that can be used in many different ways in cosmetics. This shea butter has a melting point of 30 - 35 °C and has a slightly nutty odour. Refined shea butter is more odourless, has a lighter colour and has a longer shelf life than unrefined shea butter.
Applications
Due to its moisturising properties, shea butter is mainly used in skin care. As a versatile care product, it provides the skin with intensive moisture, protects against dehydration and cares for areas of the skin that are subject to heavy stress. Shea butter is a popular base for ointments and is ideal for making homemade skin care creams, moisturisers, lip balms and ointments. As an active ingredient, shea butter is particularly suitable for the care of dry and stressed skin. In hair care, it gives brittle hair softness and suppleness and protects against hair breakage.

Shea butter should be stored dry, cool and protected from light. This shea butter is not suitable for consumption.
