Crystal Dipping Compound TM 5262 S is a high quality product for coating candles with a thin, crystal-like structure. This crystal dipping mass is a colourless effect wax. When used on coloured candles, the colour of the candle shines through the dipping mass. You can colour the wax as you like or use it on coloured candles.
To achieve the snow crystal structure, the wax should not be too hot when used. A dipping temperature of 75 - 80°C is ideal for best results.
1. prepare
Divide the wax into clean, deep jars or tins (one container per colour) and melt carefully in a water bath. As containers you can use super smoothie glass bottles or the good old canned goods. No water should get into the bottles/cans and the water should be just before boiling.
2. add colour (optional)
Darker candles can also be dipped into the uncoloured wax for the crystal effect.
Melt our candle colour (0.1 - 0.2 %; for neon colour up to 1%) completely in the liquid wax at approx. 75°C and stir. Important: When colouring, a little trial and error is necessary to achieve the desired colour result. The colour becomes less intense as the wax cools down. Of course, it is possible to work with several layers when dipping wax.
Important: Our colours are VERY productive - it is best to start with 2-3 pastilles and try them out.
For DipDye candles we recommend our neon colours for stronger colours. The neon candle colours consist of pigments, which is why they can be used especially well in dipping wax (if you mix them directly into the candle, there is a risk that the wick will be clogged by the pigments). For pastel shades, our normal basic candle colours are good.

3. dipping
Dip the candles at 75-80°C into the coloured wax. Allow to dry after each layer before dipping again, changing the colour or placing/hanging the candles on baking paper to dry. You can watch the crystals form and spread as they dry. 4.
4. give away or light them
Your Dip Dye candles make perfect super cute decorations. Your coated candles with cool crystal effect are also great for gift giving.
