Candle Wax for Container Candles – EcoShea Container
EcoShea is a natural candle wax developed by the manufacturer Kerax specifically for pouring container candles such as jars and tins. It offers an alternative to soy wax and impresses with its ease of use without compromising on quality. It is ideal for both beginners and experienced candle makers.
The wax is made from 100% plant-based ingredients, is vegan, biodegradable, and entirely free from paraffins, palm oil, and genetic engineering (GMO-free). This makes it a great choice for anyone who values clean, plant-based raw materials.
With a low melting point of around 49°C, EcoShea conforms particularly well to the inner surface of the candle container as it cools. This results in smooth, even surfaces without frosting, requiring little to no post-processing. Its high fragrance load of up to 12% makes the wax ideal for producing richly scented candles, and the pellet form ensures easy measuring and consistent melting.
How to Use
- Melt EcoShea in a water bath:
Place the pellets into a heat-resistant bowl and slowly melt in a water bath at approximately 75°C. - Add fragrance and color (optional):
If desired, thoroughly stir in fragrance oil (5–10% of the wax weight) and color pigments. - Prepare the wick:
Place the wick in the center of the candle container and secure it with a wick holder. - Pour and allow to cure:
Preheat the container, then carefully pour in the liquid wax and let it cool completely overnight at room temperature.
Tips and Advice
For an even, clean burn, we recommend trimming the wick to about 0.5 cm. If frosting appears on the surface or around the edges, it can easily be smoothed out with a heat gun. EcoShea should be stored dry, cool and protected from light.
