Soy Wax Flakes NatureWax® C-3
NatureWax® C-3 is a wax based on soybean oil, which is extracted from the soybean. Candles made from this soy wax are completely natural and purely vegetable. Soy wax candles are suitable for indoor use, but garden and scented candles or scented melts can also be made with soy wax. As it is almost impossible to produce drip-free soy candles, the wax should be used for tealights or container candles. The soy wax offered here comes from the USA and is also supplied in this form to large candle manufacturers. This soy wax forms no to few fat blooms which often make natural waxes unsightly. Soy is a renewable raw material that is produced ecologically and vegan and is 100% biodegradable. The wax is whitish to beige and has a melting point of 51 - 54 °C.
Application
Soy wax is usually heated indirectly in a water bath. To do this, a pot is heated with a little water. The wax is then melted in a metal bowl or a second pot in the water bath. This method ensures even melting and prevents the wax from overheating.
Further information
This product is too soft for pillar candles or other free-standing candles. However, it can be mixed with harder waxes to achieve the desired hardness for free-standing candles.
Soy wax should be stored dry, cool place away from light.
