Rapeseed coconut wax NatureWax® 660-55M

NatureWax® 660-55M is a vegetable wax blend made from rapeseed and a proportion of coconut oil (approx. 45 %). The vegetable wax has been developed for the production of tea lights, small candles in containers (< 60 mm) and wax melts. The wax is odourless and is an excellent fragrance release - ideal for the production of scented candles and scented melts. It gives the candles a porcelain-like appearance and the candle colours are slightly less intense. NatureWax® 660-55M has a smooth, shiny surface and is easy to remove from moulds. The wax blend is free from animal, mineral and genetically modified ingredients. NatureWax® 660-55M is produced in Hamburg and the rapeseed oil originates from the EU. The vegetable wax consists of vegan ingredients and corresponds to the kosher, halal and RAL-GZ 041 criteria.

Application

NatureWax® 660-55M has a melting point of approx. 50 °C. The wax can be heated to 70 °C for the addition of colours and fragrances. Higher temperatures are allowed, but it is not recommended to heat the wax to over 90 °C for a longer period of time. The ideal casting temperature depends on the size of the mould, the surroundings temperature and the additives. We recommend carrying out several tests. To start with, we recommend a moulding temperature of 50-60 °C. For optimum results, the containers should have a temperature of 20 - 30 °C. As this is a purely natural product, stress cracks may occur in larger moulds. Depending on the fragrance and conditions, it may be necessary to re-pour or re-melt the surface. The wax should be allowed to cool and harden for at least 12 hours before use.

Notes

NatureWax® 660-55M should be stored dry and protected from light at 15-25 °C. Prolonged storage at temperatures above 32 °C and below 5 °C should be avoided. Protect from extreme heat and cold.
