Rapeseed wax - Agri-Pure® AP-660
AP-660 canola wax is a 100% pure fully cured canola oil, making it a very high quality, pure, very solid canola wax. This product is free of mineral oil kerosenes and other synthetic additives. Our odorless canola wax AP-660 is light yellow to light beige in solid state and comes in convenient pastille form. The melting point is between 60-75°C.
Application:
Pure canola wax AP-660 is suitable as a substitute for other hard waxes such as carnauba wax or candelilla wax. It can be used as a base wax for various wax blends and replaces other synthetic-based hard waxes such as hard kerosenes in technical applications. In addition, this wax can be used as a raw material for wax dispersions. Rapeseed wax AP-660 without additives can only be used for candles to a limited extent, as it crystallizes strongly and is also not optimized for burning. To achieve an optimized wax base for standing candles, it can be mixed with the softer coconut wax Agri-Pure AP 620 and also with rapeseed stearic acid. Mixtures with beeswax are also possible. Before use, tests should be carried out in any case.
