4‑piece candle mould set made of polycarbonate – pillar candle, column, cone & sphere
Create uniform, dimensionally stable candles with a professional finish: This 4‑piece candle mould set made of heat‑resistant, transparent polycarbonate enables you to produce popular pillar candles (tapered and flat‑ended) as well as geometric shapes such as cone and sphere.
The integrated wick hole ensures precise wick centring, while the smooth interior profile of the moulds produces candles with a particularly even surface and clean edges.
Material & properties
- High‑quality polycarbonate – robust, dimensionally stable and durable for many casting processes.
- Heat‑resistant – Our polycarbonate moulds are heat‑resistant up to 200 °C, suitable for common candle waxes (e.g. rapeseed wax, paraffin, stearin).
- Transparent – you can check the fill level and any air inclusions at any time during casting.
- Less flexible than silicone – the moulds hardly warp, resulting in very consistent results; demoulding requires a little more care, but rewards you with candles in precise geometry and a smooth surface.
Ideal for classic & uniform candles
The pillar candle moulds are perfect for anyone who values symmetrical candles with a clean appearance. They are excellent for calm colour schemes in white, cream or natural tones, but also for fully dyed candles with intense colour shades.
Note on wax selection: We recommend using wax for these moulds that is explicitly suitable for freestanding candles (pillar/column candles) to ensure optimal stability and burning behaviour.
Application – how to make your pillar candle
- Thread the wick: Thread the wick through the wick hole and fix it centrally at the top of the mould (e.g. with a wick holder or wooden skewer).
- Seal the lower wick hole: Seal the wick hole at the bottom with modelling clay or wax adhesive tabs so that no liquid wax leaks out.
- Heat the wax: Gently heat the wax in a double boiler until it is completely melted.
- Colour & fragrance: Colour or fragrance the wax as desired and stir carefully.
- Pour: Pour the liquid wax carefully and evenly into the mould.
- Cure & demould: Allow the candle to cure completely (ideally several hours up to 24 h, depending on size) and demould it carefully.
Application note
The wick hole at the bottom should be sealed before pouring so that no liquid wax leaks out. Modelling clay or wax adhesive tabs are suitable for this; they are easy to apply and can be removed without residue.
