MASCID® 1800 is a high-quality, triple-pressed stearic acid for the production of stable cosmetic products and professional candles. It provides creamy textures in emulsions while improving hardness, opacity and burning behaviour of candles. MASCID 1800 has a comparatively higher proportion of palmitic acid (approx. 64%) and a content of approx. 36% stearic acid.

In candle making, stearic acid is commonly referred to as stearin. It serves as a main component or additive for wax candles and ensures professional results with a matt surface and stable shape.
To achieve an even stronger crystallisation effect, which is typical of stearic acid, MASCID 1802 (with a higher stearic acid content) can be used in candles.
