Tefacid Shea 68 – Premium Stearin Wax Based on Shea
Tefacid Shea 68 from AAK is a high-quality stearin wax based on shea butter, produced in Sweden. The pure white stearin impresses with its consistently high quality, excellent processing properties, and sustainable origin. It is made from shea fat obtained from wild-growing shea nuts in West Africa.

Application
Tefacid Shea 68 is ideally suited for the production of high-quality stearin candles – whether in the moulding process or for pressing candle blanks. Thanks to its uniform structure and optimal shrinkage, it allows for clean demoulding, a smooth surface, and stable burning performance.
This shea-based stearin ensures efficient production with minimal downtime and blends excellently with fragrances and dyes. It can also be used as a hardener and opacity enhancer in mixtures with paraffin or other vegetable waxes.
Chemical description
Tefacid Shea 68 is an aliphatic monocarboxylic acid with a straight-chain structure based on shea butter. Due to precise refining and controlled crystal formation, it offers optimal homogeneity and consistency, which is particularly advantageous for industrial applications.
