Tealight wick flat wick TLP

This wick was developed for use in tea lights. It is a waxed flat wick with a metal base with a length of 3.5 cm, which is particularly well suited for low-melting paraffin waxes and for candles with a small diameter such as tea lights. It can also be used for wax blends with natural waxes such as our rapeseed wax. The wicks are not treated with borax and are tested according to RAL standards.

For tea lights we also offer the tea light wick 2T51 as an alternative. It has a weaker bend and is suitable for tea lights made of low-melting paraffin waxes.

For larger and taller candles made of natural waxes we recommend the candle wick BWR.

The flat wick TLP combines all properties for a good and even burning behaviour and works with a wide variety of waxes. The wick has a good wick stand and forms little to no slugs. The wicks are manufactured in Germany.

Usage:

Place the candle wick in the mould and then pour the wax into the mould. Adhesive wax slabs can be used to prevent the wick from slipping during manufacture.

Variations:

We offer the TLP tealight wick in the different sizes. Depending on the wax, tealight size and desired flame height, choose a larger or smaller wick. For example, TLP 8 is suitable for basic paraffin tea lights.

These wicks do not match with Maxi tealights since the burning plate has the dimensions of a standard tealight (approx. 3,8 cm).

Hints:

Tealight wicks cannot be used to draw candles. There are many factors that influence the burning behaviour of a candle. The main ones are the type of wax, the melting point of the wax, the thickness of the candle and the addition of colour and fragrances. Test your candle project with our wicks before ordering a large number of wicks.
