High quality wick for maxi tealights
Yellow waxed round wick with metal base
Made in Germany
Jumbo-Tealight wick, round wick RD 4
This wick was specially developed for maxi tealights with a diameter of 5.9 cm. Such maxi tea lights, also called jumbo tea lights, require a stronger wick with a larger burning plate than ordinary tea lights because of their diameter. The RD 4 wick is a yellow-waxed round wick made of cotton with a metal base in a length of 3.5 cm.
The wicks are not treated with borax and are tested according to RAL standards. The wick has a good wick stand and forms little to no slugs. The wicks are made in Germany and are vegan.
For normal tea lights we offer different wicks depending on the wax used. The BWR 4 round wick is primarily suitable for tea lights made of beeswax or plant waxes, whereas the flat wicks of the TLP series and the 2T51 are suitable for low-melting paraffins due to their weaker curvature.
Usage:
Place the candle wick in the middle of the container and then pour the wax into the container. To prevent the wick from slipping during production, wax adhesive plates for candles can be used.
These wicks are not suitable for normal tea lights, because the burning plate has the dimensions of a maxi tea light (about 5.9 cm). We offer the BWR candle wick for maxi beeswax tea lights and larger and taller candles which require a stronger wick..

Hints:
There are many factors that have an influence on the burning behaviour of a candle. The main ones include the type of wax, the melting point of the wax, the thickness of the candle, and the addition of color and scents. Test your candle project with our wicks before ordering a large number of wicks.
