Multiwax W-835 – Soft Microcrystalline Wax for flexible wax blends

Multiwax W-835 from Sonneborn is a particularly soft microcrystalline wax characterised by high purity, excellent whiteness and flexibility. It is manufactured as a primary product and is known for its outstanding colour fidelity, neutral odour and good compatibility with other waxes.

This wax is ideal for making hard waxes such as paraffin in blends softer and more flexible. It therefore improves processing and the end result in many applications, e.g. in technical products, pharmaceutical ointments and in selected candle formulations. What is the difference between microcrystalline wax and paraffin?

Multi-Wax (microcrystalline wax) has a fine, amorphous crystal structure. This makes it more flexible, stickier and tougher than classic paraffin wax, which consists of larger, solid and rather brittle crystals. In addition, microcrystalline wax can bind more oil and has a higher melting point, making it particularly suitable for high-quality or stable applications.

Avoid contact with skin, eyes and clothing. Do not swallow. Keep away from heat and sources of ignition. Keep container closed when not in use. Do not handle at temperatures >40°C, risk of burns from liquid wax. To maintain the quality of the product, do not store in heat or direct sunlight.
