Citric Acid Anhydrous E330, 16 - 35 Mesh – European

Citric Acid Anhydrous is the low-moisture form of citric acid and is widely used in industrial applications. Our product is manufactured in Europe from plant-based raw materials and is supplied as a white granular powder with a particle size of 16 - 35 mesh. It is characterised by high purity and reliable processing properties.

The anhydrous form contains only a very low residual moisture content (≤ 0.5%), making it particularly stable and ideal for dry blends and moisture-sensitive applications.

What is the difference between Citric Acid Anhydrous and Citric Acid Monohydrate?

The main difference between the two forms is their water content. Citric Acid Anhydrous contains only minimal residual moisture and is considered a nearly water-free form, whereas Citric Acid Monohydrate contains bound crystal water.

Due to this difference, the anhydrous form is especially suitable for applications where as little additional moisture as possible should be introduced into the formulation, such as dry blends or moisture-sensitive products. This can help improve product stability and shelf life.

Storage Advice

Citric acid should be stored in a dry, tightly sealed container at room temperature to prevent clumping.
