Carnauba Wax T1 USDA Organic Prime Yellow Flakes

Carnaubawax T1 USDA Organic Prime Yellow Flakes represent the highest quality grade of this natural plant wax. It is obtained from the unopened buds of the Brazilian carnauba palm and is distinguished by its particularly bright, pure yellow colour as well as a pleasantly sweet, woody, plant-like aroma. This quality meets the strict requirements of the USDA Organic standard, making it especially suitable for use in organic products. Please note: The “USDA Organic” certification differs from the EU organic certification and should not be considered equivalent.

Technical Properties

Very high melting point (>80 °C): Carnaubawax is the most natural wax with the highest melting point. In its molten state, it is very fluid, but after cooling, it becomes extremely hard and glossy.

Applications

  • Food industry: Approved as glazing agent E 903. Used for glazing confectionery (e.g., gummy bears) and for coating fruit to impart shine and prevent sticking or premature melting.
  • Cosmetics industry: A valuable base for solid cosmetics such as lipsticks or mascara. Improves consistency, provides a pleasant skin feel, and supports the durability of formulations.
  • Technical applications: Ideal for high-quality polishes (e.g., car polish, polish for musical instruments, shoe care products), as it forms a particularly glossy, protective surface.

Notes

Carnauba wax should be stored dry, cool and protected from light. Due to its natural origin, properties such as colour may vary slightly. Carnauba wax USDA Organic does not comply with EU organic certification.
